The most diverse community in whole of the United States is the Clarkston Community with different and unique people from different countries and continents around the world. Quite a number of residents of the Clarkston community are refugees/immigrants to whom America had become home and a place of comfort. They live in harmony and are no doubt hard working and contribute immensely to the growth and economy of ‘USA’ their new homes.
January 2017 was such a time in history, wherein most folks in the Clarkston community got stroke with fear of the unknown, and this was as a resort of the Executive Order on immigration by the Donald Trump presidency. It really was a concern to the Clarkston residents. Hence, a reason for the Public Action held at the Clarkston City Council office, aimed at making public statement on the Executive Order as it affects/relates to the community.
Clarkston City Mayor Ted Terry lead the public presentation alongside other council officials, and a large turnout of people with and without disability attended the community public hearing. People in attendance ranged from the different group/community heads and other Clarkston community stakeholders, the police and other security agents, Executive Directors of various Non Profit Organizations serving in the area, including the agency working to help the refugee/immigrants resettle accordingly in America etc. It was a unique gathering as everyone from the local government level, and some ordinary individuals with certain concern got the opportunity to freely speak their minds on the pressing subject. It was no less an organically organized and participated PUBLIC HEARING that involved everyone without discrimination.
Owing to the concerns and worries of the residents about the issue at hand, a tensed atmosphere was conspicuously noticed at the beginning of the gathering, but Relief sets-in just before the public meeting ended. Some glowing smiles got on faces of people in attendance, especially as quite a number of comments/speeches by many confirmed the resounding support for the concerned. More so, as the overall police protection was either assured towards maintaining a peaceful Clarkston city. Effective and coordinated Communication was the tool used, wherein the button of public participation was proficiently activated, confidence restored successfully in the process, and everyone was all happy after all, and felt involved in the making of key decisions affecting generality of the public.
The lessons therein the public action and participation was a confirmation that there is unity in diversity, and a stand of one should be for all, and all supposedly for one, especially in the times of struggles and challenges.

Laila Qadira Yamini is a certified health coach of Life Balance Renewal, serving the metro Atlanta area. She offers workshops and classes on a variety of topics about natural health and healing, and she conducts individual and group coaching sessions to help people make critical lifestyle changes needed to improve their health.
Recently as a guest on MY COMMUNITY AND I Radio Show airing Thursdays on Great Dreams Radio, Qadira Yemini made a powerful presentation centered on Healthy Living & General Wellbeing under the title: GET THIS TOXIC FOODS OUT OF YOUR DIET - NOW! She explained exactly what the REAL food is; against perhaps the general perception about answer to what can be called Real Food. Qadira did break it down to defining Natural Food, Processed Foods and especially how each type affects the human body system. This is in lieu of a very toxic category of food that every sound health conscious persons need to stay completely away from; and that’s talking about the “GMO's”.
Qadira shared info about ‘Monsanto’ being a mega agricultural chemical & biotechnology corporation forcing GMO's on the American population. The super health coach touched base on the issue of non-labeling GMO foods as dangerous to the American people and community. She added that, over 64 countries across the world (even China) have mandatory GMO labeling, so their citizens can make appropriate food choices they want in their diets. At the end of the conversation, the people and the community had been informed wisely towards making informed choices regarding their food supply and consumption, aimed at helping all stay well and remain healthy.

I sure have a name. It sounds more like a phrase, carefully carved more like a sentence and looks more like an Action Plan. ‘MY COMMUNITY AND I’ it is.
I am one unique Radio Show for the community you live in; I’ve made the airwaves my primary abode with Great Dreams Radio being my residential manager since March 2016. Long before the final decision to serving humanity and be committed to building the community near you, I have existed in Clarkston area of Atlanta Georgia of the United States for about fifteen months, and that’s where my work began as a Radio Show. MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW: I am not just a broadcast content but more like a Link Bridge that connects the people and the community, purposely for harmonious relationships that projects a strong sense of belonging. Fair enough, this I made possible by making every individual opinion count on various key subject of community building without discriminations. Beyond playing to the suppose unpopular eye-service gallery of the less important rank and file related issues amongst people, everyone deserves to be heard, desire to be loved and appreciated in order to be actively involved in the general matter of concern.
Since I found it missing but not without the possibilities to have it in place, “MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW” came to being and had since mend the walls and rebuilt bridges of collective participation, through the transition of public/individual opinions to the concerned body/organization/authority within and outside the community. No doubts with ‘me’, the individual and community capacity for collective action had continued to growing sustainably. Many unknown had become known through “me”, more especially about people and the community. This may be measured based on a number of feedback, success and achievement attributed to MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW. For instance, when MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW respectively in a couple of its weekly episodes tracked the Clarkston community Council Man Dean Moure and the Vice Mayor Robert Hogan to rub mind with subjects of the community, there were demands to doing more of such session for inter-personal expressions.
Till date, it’s a regular feature at least once a month on MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW.
Remarkably, having the visually impaired Sulaimon Salam Bamidele as my host, Altamyoz as the Producer for MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW, and the auto-power wheelchair bound Miss Betty Hasan-Amin as the Executive Producer, plus more individuals with and without disabilities volunteering/playing some active roles in the background was a perfect Inclusiveness/Combination, and one of the best to making it happen for “me” on Great Dreams Radio………smiley. MY COMMUNITY AND I: the success for me as a Radio Show was as a resort of spotting somewhat a communication challenge within the community and without ignoring, but ‘Think’ and ‘Act’ fast about what to do to ensure the sustainable existence of both the required inter/intra-personal communication for harmony and better understanding on common issues within the people and community.Yes, such an appreciable work/project in progress I am, but needs more sustainable publicity/awareness for a better participation going forward.
MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW: I am all yours every Thursdays at 7:00 pm [EST] on Great Dreams Radio via www.greatdreamsnation.com. Please you’re invited to join us on a regular basis, never be a stranger to being part of MY COMMUNITY AND I RADIO SHOW, and I sure will be glad to have you listening live to the next episode, cheers.

Miss Tywanna is a beautiful human being who’s passionate about quality life and uncompromised care for children with mental disabilities/challenges. She’s the brain behind “Hyped4uMentoring”,a project/organization poised to helping parents/relatives/school teachers/neighbors/friends to lookout indiscriminately for the mentally challenged children in the community.
Recently, a Mini-Grant facility was made available for Hyped4uMentoring project by Altamyoz Community Organization. It was a BackToSchool community program organized to help parents and kids have sweet and stress-free experiences kick starting the new academic year, and it served well over 800 children with different school supplies and more. An appreciable collective actions of volunteers with people of like minds, including the children helped in no little measure and the event was a success where every participants with or without disability in attendance really felt loved and valued.
The lesson learnt at the organized Hyped4uMentoring BackToSchool event would remain continuous compassionate, cheerful giving in the community with a sense of belonging to everyone indiscriminately. This no doubt would further encourage a community living of better quality for all on no condition. Happily, every direct and indirect beneficiaries of the BackToSchool program eulogizes Hyped4uMentoring, Altamyoz Community Building Organization, NH Scott Recreation Centre and Columbia Residence for their collaboration to serve the community in the organized event.

I met such a charming young lady of an enviable esteem in the community. People loves and talk about her because against all odds, she discovered herself and focus on her passion to substantiate the fact she could get it done, impact and help others as well to find their feet in faith or either believe strongly in themselves. The community info has it that Jenna Joy Quigley is her name, but for short I feel it’s sweet and cool to call her Miss JJ. Jenna Joy Quigley: An inneglegible center of attraction she is within a whole bunch of her beautiful works, awesome personality, genuine individual/inter-personal relationship plus great attitude that commands respect from far and wide and more. “From inside the womb I knew she’s an adorable baby girl because she rocks gentle and after birth, she wakes up every morning with such a Big Beaming Smiles on her beautiful face and still inviting till date”, says the sweet mum [Denise Quigley] on no make believe. Jenna Joy lives with down syndrome disability but in reality, Miss JJ’s incredible drives to living her normal life had rather rendered the nature of her physical disability useless or meaningless against all best she could do and achieve.
Active mind, busy hands in making something wonderful happen, consistent moves to helping/encouraging others towards their best, and often being sensitive to the feelings of other people describes the great personality of Miss Jenna Joy Quigley. She’s got three paid jobs and it includes Community Building activities, works in a commercial establishment and as well makes variety of fast selling beautiful greeting cards and as well dances amongst others. The communities beyond hers in this regard had become a lot better in acceptance and understanding with upward growth tendencies. In view of Miss JJ’s wonderful activities from home and into the community building outreach, people and the community tends to believing more in the quality abilities in persons with disability. Everywhere she goes especially places of programs/events, Jenna Joy takes herself produced beautiful greeting cards for sales and recently she was at a conference wherein whole bunch fresh participants attended. Some old friends and customers of Miss JJ had told their friends about Jenna and how she’s incredibly inspired them and more.
Certainly, the new friends and customers at the conference were either motivated by the best seen being carried out by Jenna Joy Quigley etc. The high point of such scenes/sessions/situation was that, many of those new friends/customers are people living with one form of disability or the other. There’s no gainsaying in the fact that, dear Miss JJ does touch life’s every day within and outside the community of persons with or without disabilities. The precious Miss JJ’s ever sweet mother [Denise Quigley] disclosed that, the beautiful life of Miss Jenna was never easily achieved to become the toast of many today, but all-round warmth support, coupled with love and consistency in all brought about the appreciable stuff today in the darling Miss JJ.
Giving lessons therein Miss Jenna Joy Quigley’s story as “it’s vital for everyone to offering the awesome hands of help and assistance to everybody around you without discriminations”. Truly, nothing or no one is useless if there was a serious commitment to make everything work, and everyone would absolutely be useful in their own persons. Big kudos to Mr. & Mrs. Quigley ‘Jenna’s caring Dad & loving Mum’, concerned friends and family, associate and people in the community for giving to us, a Jenna Joy Quigley, THE PERFECT MOTIVATION TO OUR WORLD.
